Carlyon Bay Surf Life Saving Club is brand new lifesaving club on the beautiful south coast of mid-Cornwall, in the heart of clay country.
The club aims to provide sporting, vocational and recreational opportunities in lifesaving and surf lifesaving in the St Austell and mid-Cornwall area, through coaching, training and education.
Our objectives include:
- Improving water safety awareness in the communities in and around St Austell.
- Providing training and education to enable bystanders and non-professional lifesavers to safely intervene in a water-based emergency.
- Offering coaching and providing competitive opportunities in life saving sport and surf life saving sport.
- Facilitating training for members to become qualified professional lifeguards.
