Drowning Prevention Week Campaign Drowning Prevention Week, this year is running from 19-26 June, it has been created by the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) to reduce the number of drowning and non-fatal drowning incidences that occur in the UK every year, by showing people how to be safe and have fun near water. The campaign encourages schools, clubs, leisure centres, parents and communities, to promote water safety education through a range of activities, in a bid to make people more aware of the dangers of water . Supporting Drowning Prevention Week will help scores of children to learn about water safety. It could even save a child’s life.
