Droitwich Lifesaving Club is a growing and successful voluntary club which meets at Droitwich Spa Leisure centre, between 6pm and 8pm on Sunday evenings and is made up of members aged 10 upwards.
The club splits into two groups, a ‘Rookie’ group of those aged 10 to 12 and a 'Senior' group for over-12s.
Youngsters can put the training towards GCSE work, Duke of Edinburgh schemes or just take part for fun.
The club was jointly founded by Terry Dennis and Laurie Smith in October 1989 and has been running ever since.
