Thanet Lifeguard Club – Promoting Water Safety and Lifesaving Skills in Our Community
We train every Sunday evening at Ramsgate Pool, where our members take part in both dry and pool-based sessions. Dry training includes essential lifesaving skills such as CPR and first aid. In the water, we run the Rookie Lifeguard programme for our younger members and the National Lifesaving Academy for our older participants, helping everyone build confidence and competence in lifesaving techniques.
During the summer months, we also offer beach training around Thanet's coast, using various beaches, giving members the opportunity to develop their skills in a real coastal environment.
Our club is proud to be active in the community. We regularly take part in local events such as carnivals, beach cleans, and community days, always looking for fun, meaningful experiences that help our members grow while giving back to our local community.
We also compete in lifesaving competitions at both local, regional, and national levels, encouraging teamwork, resilience, and excellence.
At its core, Thanet Lifeguard Club exists to promote water safety awareness and teach vital lifesaving skills to people of all ages across Thanet and beyond.
Everyone is welcome to come and be part of a club that’s passionate about safety, learning, and community spirit.
